The Team
The core of the team was assembled in the ESL Printables Teachers Cafe. There are contributors from 19 different countries. Of the 40 confirmed contributors so far, we have 8 from the United Kingdom, 6 from Croatia, 4 from France, 3 each from Brasil and Greece, 2 each from Canada and Egypt, and 1 from each of the following, Italy, Turkey, Russia, Portugal, Spain, Bangladesh, Romania, Australia, Ukraine, USA, Chile and Israel. That makes this a real global project. Most of the contributors are teachers of English as a second language, and have a vested interest in combating bullying at first hand, though not neccessarily having experienced it at close quarters themselves. Sharing a passion for teaching and knowing what adverse effects bullying can have on learning, these intrepid folks were only too willing to participate in a project that is trying to do something positive about it.
As well as teachers we have Illustrators, painters, musicians, and even two students participating. Nobody on this project is a professional writer, however, as you will see from some of the stories, most are extremely talented story tellers, that have produced some harrowing, realistic and, in most cases, heartwarming, positive fiction on the topic.
